Philadelphia Mayor Recognizes BTC Envelopes & Printing, LLC

Philadelphia Mayor Michael A. Nutter recognized BTC Envelopes & Printing, LLC Owner and President, Andrew D. Magnus, at a reception to honor the recent graduates of the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses – Greater Philadelphia Program in August 2014.

BTC Envelopes & Printing, LLC along with 31 other businesses, spent 14 weeks and roughly 100 class hours at the Main Campus of Community College of Philadelphia.

Small business leaders were actively engaged in an entrepreneurial business curriculum designed by Babson College and delivered by the Community College of Philadelphia faculty.  The curriculum covered all elements from running one’s business, managing money and metrics, to marketing and sales.

The program also included one-on-one business advising, accounting workshops and advice from top law firms and Goldman Sachs professionals.

Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED) Secretary Dennis Davin highlighted the efforts of BTC Envelopes & Printing, LLC, a minority-owned print and promotional products distributor of over 25 years specializing in business solutions, for its pivot in production to make reusable masks, KN95 face masks, face shields, and other protective items in response to the state’s critical need for personal protective equipment (PPE) through DCED’s Pennsylvania Manufacturing Call to Action Portal (MCAP)

36th Philadelphia Minority Enterprise Development (MED) Week

On October 5th, Philadelphia business and community leaders kicked off the 36th Philadelphia Minority Enterprise Development (MED) Week, which celebrated minority enterprises in the region and efforts to help minority businesses grow. Throughout the week, organizations from across the region will host virtual events focused on this year’s theme, “Preparing for the Next Normal.”
